As smartphones are ruling in the cellphones market as a lot of completion is going in between different smartphone brands such as Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Apple and HTC. Just before 10 days, Sony Ericsson has launched Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray. Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is ready to compete with other recent launched smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy S2.
If we talk about the comparison, in-between Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray and Samsung Galaxy S2, then in few specifications and features Xperia Ray is verdict or Galaxy S2 is verdict. Xperia Ray is fitted with a single core 1Ghz Qualcomm Scorpion processor with 205 Adreno GPU. It also has 1GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB as internal storage memory. Whereas, Galaxy S2 have faster processor as compare to Xperia Ray. It has 1.2 GHZ cortex-A9 ARM dual core processor with Mali-400MP GPU. It has a 512MB RAM and 1GB of internal storage memory. Hence, in Hardware, Galaxy S2’s processor smashes the Xperia Ray’s processor.
These both phones have same operating system i.e. Android v2.3 (Gingerbread). It is the latest Android OS by Google. Also, Android operating System is considered as most flexible operating system. Android can support millions of applications. So, both phones give the best performance with Android OS. So, there is draw in-between software configuration of both phones.
If we talk about cameras, then Galaxy S2 is winner. As both phones has 8MP primary rear camera. That supports 3264 x 2448 pixels and features like geo-tagging, LED flash, autofocus & face detection. But Galaxy S2 has one more feature that is smile detection. Also, Samsung Galaxy S2 camera can record 1080p HD video recording whereas, Xperia ray can record 720p HD recording. Galaxy has a 2MP front camera for live video call, whereas Xperia has VGA front camera.
Galaxy has 4.3 inches touchscreen which can supports resolution of 480×800 pixels. On other side, Xperia Ray has 4inches TouchWiz type display which can supports resolution of supports resolution of 480×854 pixels. Xperia Ray’s display is technically better than the Galaxy S2 display. If we talk about the dimension and weight, Xperia has 111x53x9.4mm and weighs around 100g. Whereas, Galaxy S2 has 123.66.1×8.5mm and 116g of weight, it concludes Xperia Ray is lighter in weight.
Galaxy S2’s battery backup is better than the Xperia Ray battery, because Xperia has 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery and Galaxy S2 has 1650 Li-Ion battery. If we talk about the other features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 2G and 3G network capability, then there will be a tie in-between both Smartphones.
